Welcome to my first blog post!
I’ve wanted to own a quilt shop for ages. Maybe someday. There’s very few left here in Massachusetts. There used to be a few within a short drive from me. Now the closest one is a 45 minute drive. Not awful, but I wish there was something closer other than that big retailer. The quilt shops just carry a much higher quality of fabric. Yeah, it’s more expensive, but these are heirlooms we’re making. And they’re nicer to work with. Plus you’re supporting a small business – they really need that right now!
I got this really cute gnome fabric for 50% off yesterday from Homestead Quilts . It’s from the Henry Glass line called Timber Gnomies designed by Shelly Comiskey. Gnomes are all the rage right now! No wonder – they’re adorable! One is a panel, and the others are coordinating fabrics from the same line. I have NO IDEA what I’m going to do with them yet, but I HAD to have them!

Speaking of gnomes, I found this CUTE gnome table runner pattern (this is an affiliate link) at Annie’s catalog. It’s part applique. The best part is that I learned how to convert the PDF cutouts to SVG for my Cricut Explore Air so I don’t have to hand cut each hat, beard, nose, and mustache! YAY! I’ll get a video up on my YouTube channel as soon as I have a chance! It will be my first video to go along with my new blog! Be sure to subscribe! I’ll update this post when it’s up and ready. Looking forward to getting to know all of you!
That’s it for now. Stay warm! Stay safe! Happy New Year! Go enjoy some quilty pleasures!
